In this tutorial I’m looking at the basics of how you can use custom shapes and the text tool to create a realistic looking stitching effect. I start with a circle and apply a pattern overlay to make it look like a piece of denim. Then I create a second smaller circle inside which will become the path for the stitching itself. The smaller circle fill colour is knocked out and I use the edge as a text path for a continual line of hyphens, which I can then style with colours and effects to look like stitching.
Jo was brilliant from the moment I first got in contact with her. She understood what I needed and the vision I had in my head, which she managed to get on to a website. Quick worker and reliable. The website has totally taken off too, so I’m so happy I went with Jo Cox Design.(Lucy Beesley)
